Your opt-out has been received when you see a pop up that says "SUCCESS!" and receive a confirmation receipt e-mail to your @mylaurier.ca e-mail address. If you do not see either of these items, your opt-out was likely not received. Please try again or contact us on the Live Chat to get assistance with opting out.
If you get an error message that says "We are unable to verify your information with your school's systems, please ensure that your information is entered correctly". Go to the My Laurier Login section, and ensure you ONLY enter the first part of your MyLaurier e-mail address (i.e. smit1234@mylaurier.ca - you would only enter smit1234). The password you need to use is the one you would use to access your MyLaurier e-mail account, NOT the password you used to login to the VIP website
RETURNING STUDENTS, PLEASE REVIEW BEFORE OPTING OUT:
If you opted out in the past using the Student VIP website, your login is still active, just use your @mylaurier.ca e-mail and password from previous year(s). If you cannot remember your password, just click "forgot your password" to have a new one e-mailed to you. New Students must register before being able to access the opt-out page.
ATTENTION INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:
Please note that UHIP (University Health Insurance Plan with Sun Life), is NOT eligible to be used to opt-out of the Student VIP plan. This plan is your provincial equivalent plan and does not cover you for the benefits offered by Student VIP.

If you are graduating this year, you can apply for the Graduating Student Conversion plan if you stay on the plan for the year leading up to your graduation. You'll continue your coverage without medical health evidence requirements.

You can still use Student VIP Perks like Direct2U and the Preferred Practitioner Network, even if you opt-out.
